CASH OR CANS

Hey guys, Cash or Cans was a huge success. We raised money for the Wits food bank, an organization that provides meals to underprivileged students. We also teamed up with Good Deeds Day, an Israeli organization that promotes good deeds. We set up a table outside Zesti's and so many people came to donate.

The Rambam (Maimonides) writes that giving many people smaller denominations of charity is far better than giving one person a large amount of money. The Rabbi’s explain that by doing this, we include everyone who is in need and help each of them a little bit.

Cash or Cans is run every month at wits and it is an amazing opportunity to fulfill the commandment of charity.
