WELCOME!

To our old members, to our new members we welcome you to SAUJS 2019!

We hope you have all settled right back into uni and have enjoyed the first month of Varsity.

I would like to take this opportunity to formally introduce myself. My name is Liora and I am the chairperson of Wits campus SAUJS. If you have any queries, would like to get more involved or just want to rant ;), please do not hesitate to contact me.

SIGN UPS

At this point some of you may be wondering the point of signing up for SAUJS. Good question!

Firstly, the more people have signed up, the greater our voice gets heard and the more powerful we are to tackle issues on campus such as anti-Semitism. Our larger membership base makes us and our concerns more of a priority to the university and creates pressure for management to take our concerns seriously.

Secondly, the membership fee is used to host events for our members throughout the year. SAUJS 2019 will ensure a wide range of events for our diverse membership group. So make sure you are following SAUJS WITS Instagram or Facebook pages to find an event that interests you!

Thirdly, you don’t want to miss out on our world renowned (literally) SAUJS parties !!!

INVOLVEMENT

We want to ensure as many of you as possible feel included in SAUJS this year. Below is a list of Sub Committees you can get involved with:

1. Political Committee

2. Judaism Committee

3. Zionist Committee

4. Outreach Committee

5. Med School and Education Campus

Although the deadline to sign up for a sub committees has passed, we are opening them up for ONE MORE WEEK! So if suddenly you have HUGE FOMO (which you should) and want to get more involved please email witschair@saujs.co.za.

DAILY SHACHRIT SERVICES

For those who are not aware, SAUJS hosts a daily shacharit service in CM5 (chamber of mines). Please message 0718662511 to join the whatsapp group J
